What a sick set up.

I bought a new 920 frameset in december 2022, was even listed as 2023 modelyear (after not beeing available for almost a year) and at that time, it even showed up on the official trek website again for a short time. now its gone again. seems they made a small batch of frames only, or found a shipping container of them somehwere.

glad i ordered one in time. fits 29*2.4 with ease and rides much more agile than i had anticipated for a “touring” frameset, coming from a much more sporty regular gravel bike.

Prob depends on how true to size a specific tire is. Here’s what Poseidon said when I emailed them:

While tire and rim combos can vary, we have seen a 29 x 2.3 clear on the Redwood frame before.

Indeed true, but those bikes also have a more mtb geo than some of these bikes that max out at 2.1-2.2, which to me takes it more of a drop bar mtb than these. Oh I didn’t realize the ULTD is now the LTD. Did they take away clearance or something? I thought I remember the ULTD being able to fit 29×2.6 tires front and rear.

Poseidon has a rather annoying website. I’m noticing all these direct-to-consumer brands have the same problem here in that specs are poorly listed. It used to be the case that if you read into the Redwood market blurb for the bike description, it listed 29×2.3 as a theoretical maximum. Since the website redesign, its gotten cleaner, but they’ve removed that statement.

Chamois Hagar and Marin Gestalt X don’t meet the min 29×2.1″ tire for this list. Sutra ULTD is no longer a model. The current LTD is the same as what used to be ULTD.

Thanks Logan, I couldn’t find any specs for 29” clearance but I’ll add it in. As for sort options, it’s just not a function of the platform currently. We’ll keep that in mind though.

Along those lines, it’d also be helpful to have a sort option by e.g. price and tire size.

Land Cruiser specs 29×2.0″ max tire size and Nordest is already up there.
